Japan scale up advances Docquity’s goal of Asian Healthcare Intelligence built on Clinical Intent, with Ask Dx as the core platform and “One Asia” linking physicians in Japan and Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Docquity, the clinical AI platform for more than 75% of verified doctors across Asia, today announced its scale up plan into Japan through a deepened strategic partnership with exMedio Inc., operator of the specialist physician communities Hematology Pro and Hipokura.

The move advances Docquity’s goal of building Asian Healthcare Intelligence, grounded in Clinical Intent: what doctors across Asia need answered at the point of care.

DOCQUITY HOLDINGS PTE. LTD. and Docquity Japan G.K. have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with exMedio that places Ask Dx, Docquity’s clinical AI assistant, at the core of the partnership. The MOU builds on a collaboration that began in 2025, when Docquity first offered Ask Dx to members of Hipokura, exMedio’s clinical consultation community of more than 80,000 physicians. The relationship now moves from supplying an AI tool to building clinical support for Japanese physicians together, and to connecting physician communities in Japan and Southeast Asia.

Asian Healthcare Intelligence, built on Clinical Intent

Docquity’s goal is an intelligence layer for healthcare in Asia, built from how doctors in the region practice. Its starting point is Clinical Intent: what a doctor is trying to resolve at the point of care, expressed in the questions they ask, the knowledge they look for and the peer discussions that interest them.

Ask Dx answers that intent for each doctor. Understood across markets and specialties, Clinical Intent shows where knowledge needs are greatest, so that medical education and clinical support can be directed to them.

Japan, with its established specialist physician communities, is one of Docquity’s core markets in that effort.

Entering Japan with a specialist medical partner

Docquity is entering Japan through the communities’ Japanese physicians already use. exMedio launched Hematology Pro in 2022, and more than 60% of Japan’s hematologists are now members, making it one of the country’s largest specialist communities. exMedio plans to extend that model from hematologic cancers to solid tumors.

The partnership pairs exMedio’s specialist network and understanding of Japanese clinical practice with Docquity’s clinical AI and its physician network across Asia. It will concentrate on knowledge sharing and clinical support in oncology, and services will be developed with feedback from physicians in Japan.

Ask Dx as the core platform

Ask Dx is the core platform of the partnership. It will be built into the places where physicians in exMedio’s communities learn, consult peers and search for medical information, so that it works inside their daily clinical routines.

Combining Ask Dx with the experiential knowledge held in specialist communities is intended to give physicians fast, context-relevant access to the knowledge they need.

Specific services, features and launch timing will be announced separately.

One Asia: connecting Japan and Southeast Asia

One Asia is Docquity’s vision for putting the knowledge and experience held in physician communities to use across borders. It connects the physician communities on which Asian Healthcare Intelligence is built. Under the MOU, Docquity and exMedio will explore exchange and knowledge sharing between physician communities in Japan and Southeast Asia.

Physicians across Asia share a challenge: keeping up with growing medical knowledge and applying it within different healthcare systems and practice settings. The partnership aims to create more opportunities for communities to exchange knowledge on shared clinical challenges, while respecting differences in language, healthcare systems and practice environments.

Over time, the companies will consider wider collaboration that includes universities and medical institutions.

    Executive comments

    Indranil Roychowdhury

    CEO and Co-Founder, Docquity

“Our goal is Asian Healthcare Intelligence: clinical AI that understands what doctors in Asia are asking and helps them act on it. That starts with Clinical Intent, and Japan is central to it.

exMedio has built specialist communities that physicians in Japan rely on, and its understanding of clinical practice there is the foundation of this partnership. With Ask Dx at the core, we will work with exMedio to help physicians in Japan and Southeast Asia reach the knowledge they need faster and learn from one another across borders.”

    Keiji Sawada

Representative Director, President and Executive Officer, exMedio Inc.

“This MOU moves our relationship with Docquity from adopting an AI service to a stage where we combine our strengths to co-create new clinical support.

Going forward, we will extend the expertise we have built in hematology to solid tumors and, by combining it with Docquity’s AI technology and Asian physician network, build a clinical support environment that gives physicians faster access to the knowledge they need.”
